Volunteering/Service Learning

  • Volunteering and service learning are opportunities for students to perform tasks/work without charge. Students may learn new skills, assist others, preform for others, or create a new friend while volunteering.

BYU's own service website states, "The Center offers over 70 community service programs, which serve individuals who have cognitive or physical disabilities, children and the elderly, at-risk children, and provide humanitarian service. Some of these programs originate in the Center, but many of them are aligned with non-profit agencies in the community, such as Habitat for Humanity, Community Action, and Best Buddies. Each community service program is administered by student leaders, all of whom are volunteers."
  • Yserve is a great opportunity to help the community, learn, and grow.

The Assessment Center also accept volunteers.
  • There are many volunteering opportunities around campus. Students can start by visiting the yserve website. They may also browse their department website to find if there are any service projects happening.
