Olivia Bryant: Communications

Olivia interned as a social media intern for Krado during Winter 2023 Semester.

Briefly explain what you did and the result of your internship.

I was a Social Media Intern and I had various responsibilities from blog editing, creating social media content, to making TikTok videos, to plant photography, and helping with plant research for their app.

What did you learn on your internship that you were not expecting to learn?

I was not expecting to see the complete behind the scenes of a start up Tech company. It was so fascinating to be involved with Krado in their beginning stages. I was able to attend their marketing meetings and go to events they hosted. I learned many business terms I had never even heard of before interning for them. I enjoyed learning new strategies and skills each week that pushed me to expand my knowledge.

How have your future plans changed because of what you learned from your internship experience?

I now really want to be a Social Media Manager or I would also love to join a Marketing Team with a start up Tech company. It was important for me to do an internship that made me passionate. I loved learning about plants and how they can solve many world problems. Krado has a mission to restore the earth with more plants and to start the world’s first plant database. Their goals for the future were very impactful to me. I hope that my future job can be with a business or non-profit that is taking appropriate steps with technology to make the world more sustainable and safe.

Please share how your experience led to personal inspiration or insightful revelation.

My personal experience led me to care more about sustainability and how we can prepare the longevity of earth for future generations. I was inspired with compassion and charity to care about how people in the future will live. Those people include my family members and friends. Everything we do now has a deep connection and effect in the future. I received many insightful thoughts about the condition of the world. This prepared perspective also goes along with my religious beliefs. I love being connected mentally, physically, and spiritually to others and to earth! I hope our generation can continue to contribute towards a brighter future and restoration!

Would you recommend this internship to other students?

Yes, it was very flexible and you can learn outside the box thinking towards complex problems. This is an internship for self-starters and creative thinkers.

Is there anything else you would like to say regarding your internship?

The Krado team was amazing and I am grateful to have built connections with them.

Help Krado Build the world’s first plant database by becoming a plant scientist through Krado’s technology device called leaflet and through their plant care app. I am in the picture using their leaflet device!
