Mary was a Field Support Intern for BYU-Pathway Worldwide during Winter 2025.
Briefly explain what you did and the result of your internship.
I developed multiple training modules. One of which required collaboration with several SMEs and took 3 months. It was a large and very fulfilling project. It allowed me to use my organizational and creative skills to combine the information from several departments to make a comprehensive training. Very fun!
What did you learn on your internship that you were not expecting to learn?
I learned many design techniques!
How have your future plans changed because of what you learned from your internship experience?
I was puzzled about how I was going to fulfill my dissertation challenge. This internship introduced me to a product that might be the answer I need!
Please share how your experience led to personal inspiration or insightful revelation.
I thought that the internship would help me with job hunting, which it might very well do in the future, but I was not expecting the way it is shaping my dissertation plans.
Would you recommend this internship to other students?
Definitely! This was a 100% positive experience and I loved every minute!
Is there anything else you would like to say regarding your internship?
Doing the same internship for both of my internship requirements opened the opportunity to do the big project. I would not have been entrusted with that project if I only had 3 months to work with BYU-Pathway Worldwide.
