Kendall Blais: Accounting

Kendall interned at PwC as an advance intern during Spring/Summer 2022 semester.

Describe a day in your life as an intern.

I wake up at 7am, eat breakfast and then be on my laptop at 8:30. I would go through emails and other housekeeping items before my daily meeting at 9. In the meeting I would learn the tasks for the day and I would work on those tasks until I log off at 5:30. I would have lunch and breaks in between.

What industry/job specific skills did you learn?

I learned auditing software to work on an engagement team on a client.

What is one thing you learned from this internship experience that could be applied to other settings?

I learned the value of networking and being a good team member. I was able to meet a lot of professionals which is important for me to keep those connections. In addition I learned how to be a good team member such as, pulling my weight and helping others lighten theirs instead of checking out once I’m done with my work.

What was your favorite part of your internship experience?

The connections and relationships I made. I genuinely enjoyed getting to know everyone.

How did this internship experience affect your future goals?

I helped me to know what I’m looking for in a future job such as having a flexible schedule and having connectivity events.

How did you find your internship?
