Jung Chen: Accounting

Jung interned as an accounting assistant at International Bridge during Winter 2022 Semester.

Describe a day in your life as an intern.

In the beginning of the month, I would work on closing the book. But after the first two and half weeks, I would focus on getting ready for next month and also helping other coworkers.

What industry/job specific skills did you learn?

I learned how to use some of the accounting system, and I also learned some other different platform.

What are three things that you learned from this experience that could be applied to other settings?

1. Create my own deadline

2. Proactive in following up

3. Work with coworkers that are not in the same time zone.

What was your favorite part of your internship?

I can say I am friends with my coworkers in and outside of the office

How did this experience affect your future goals?

It helped me see what I do well and not well. So, when I go into my career, I can know how to deal with my weakness

It allowed me to get out my comfort zone and had deal with many people and broadened my knowledge.
