Chloe Sleight: Art & Technology

Choe was a Graphic Designer for Talent Development during Spring 2025.

Briefly explain what you did and the result of your internship.

I was able to design alot of graphics, signs, and other assets for Human Resources. I loved getting the oppurtunity to branch out and be creative with my designs. This internship has grown my communication skills and has helped me navigate a future career.

What did you learn on your internship that you were not expecting to learn?

That clear communication is key, whether thats over email, text, video, call, or in person. All these different ways of communication have pros and cons when you are gathering information for a design.

How have your future plans changed because of what you learned from your internship experience?

They haven't quite changed, but totally have increased in what I am reaching for.

Please share how your experience led to personal inspiration or insightful revelation.

This experience has encouraged me to further a career in Graphic Design. There were days that I just absolutely loved what I did, and I was very proud of myself. There were also days where I would get sucked into the work and realize that it was time to go, I could spend forever doing design work. These days helped me realize how amazing design is and how talented I have become.

Would you recommend this internship to other students?

Yes! It was a great learning opportunity and was way better than just having a job because of the increased skill, and experience. It is also a great resume builder.

Is there anything else you would like to say regarding your internship?

It is amazing and I am grateful for this opportunity!

I created this mural for our office space. It was a huge project and a long process, but it was finally complete and printed on our office wall.
This was a project I did for our office. I was given creative liberty and I really love how it turned out!
