Chloe Sleight: Art and Technology

Chloe was a Graphic Designer for Greg Danklef Talent Development during Summer 2025.

Briefly explain what you did and the result of your internship.

During my internship at Talent Development, I have collaborated with the Wellness Team and my coworkers to create flyers, banners, shirts, posters, handouts, and presentations. and marketing collateral. On my spare time I love designing logos, refining layouts, and preparing files for print and digital use. I also gained hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite, learning more about its broad tools everyday. I love how this internship created a real-world environment for me to practice.

What did you learn on your internship that you were not expecting to learn?

I learned how to be flexible and work well by communicating with various people and solidifying their needs

How have your future plans changed because of what you learned from your internship experience?

I think I will be more suited for graphic design jobs in the future

Please share how your experience led to personal inspiration or insightful revelation.

I really liked the environment of the workplace. I had fun co-workers, and an extremely understanding, funny, collaborative, and caring supervisor in Greg Danklef. I loved how nice and welcoming everyone was. I love working in a space that allowed me to be fully creative and try new things. It was fun to learn about new platforms for design, and learn more skills on LinkedIn learning. I was able to explore new techniques and given projects that pushed me in my process and my creative thinking. I had a ton of support in the office, and was well valued among my peers. I really enjoyed this internship this summer!

Would you recommend this internship to other students?

I would recommend this internship. Whether students would work at TD or not, a graphic design internship teaches you so much. I learned how to collaborate with so many different types of people, and that was huge! I really liked the creative outlet.

If you get bored easily and can't fill up your time creatively I wouldn't recommend. But I was able to always stay creative and explore new things while projects weren't coming in so consistantly.

I created a sign and hung it outside our office door!
