Morgan: Family Life

Morgan completed an internship with the Center for Autism and Related Disorders as a Behavior Technician during Spring 2021. Here is what Morgan has to say about this experience:

What did you unexpectedly learn?

I learned how to connect with others in real and meaningful ways. I learned to be patient with myself and with others while we are learning new things. I also learned that I am not capable of performing everything on my own. I will need help and I will need to ask for it. I also learned how to accept and implement feedback from supervisors and how to have open communication with those above me in management positions.

Would you recommend this internship to others?

Yes! This was a great internship opportunity at a great location. My internship coordinator/manager was amazing to work with and I met some amazing people. I was also able to learn about what a future career in that field would look like and entail. I was given great exposure to new people and different cultures.
