Meredith completed an internship with FamilySearch as a Latin America Research Team Member during Spring 2021. Here is what Meredith has to say about her experience:
It has been a wonderful experience. I was placed with a great mentor who helped me be involved, learn, and serve others. FamilySearch provides great internships, and the Family History Library was a very special place to be!
What did you unexpectedly learn?
I learned just how many job types FamilySearch provides. It has been great to learn about them, network with different people, and be involved in so many various trainings. Depending on where I am at graduation, I will look into these different job types as career options!
Would you recommend this internship to others?
Yes! It has been wonderful to be with the FamilySearch team, especially in the library. It is a great place to build your skills and to learn about future options. I started working entire remotely with only a few in-person activities. When the Family History Library reopened July 6th 2021, I started going to the library in-person 2 days a week and working from home 1-2 days per week. Wonderful experience!
