James completed an internship at the Utah State Legislature during the Winter 2021 semester. Here is what he has to say about his experience:
Representatives from the Utah State Legislature came and spoke at my Pre-Law class. I didn't know how things were going to turn out and if an internship would be any fun during COVID, but I still met hundreds of professionals and grew as a professional myself. I highly recommend other students take advantage of the opportunity.
What did you unexpectedly learn?
I learned how to code a Google Sheet to scrap data off 30 different websites for my legislator and gather it into one table for him to us.
Would you recommend this internship to others?
YES! This was the best career experience of my entire life! Not only did I meet influential people, but I learned from them and developed splendid connections as well.
